Miko Grimes Deletes Her Twitter Account Following Arrest At Bills-Dolphins Game

After having been arrested for resisting with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer, Miko Grimes, the wife of Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes, has deleted her Twitter account.

Her Twitter handle, @iHeartMiko, now returns an error page which reads, “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!”

After having been arrested at the Dolphins-Bills game on Sunday, Miko posted her $10,500 bond and was subsequently released from jail early Monday morning.

She was held at a correctional facility located in western Miami-Dade County from 8:17 p.m. on Sunday night until 1:04 a.m. on Monday, the Palm Beach Post reported.

As the 40-year-old Mrs. Grimes departed the correctional facility from which she was released, she made no comments while she walked with her hands behind her back, still wearing her husband’s No. 21 Dolphins jersey– the same which she was wearing during her confrontation with Miami-Dade’s finest.

Yahoo News cited NBC 6 South Florida‘s Adam Kuperstein as having said that a witness claimed that Miko attempted to cross a police barricade before she was tackled by a law enforcement officer. Kuperstein also reported that she was not only “belligerent,” but screaming obscenities during her arrest.

While allegedly resisting arrest, she reportedly head-butt an officer, which Yahoo News reports to likely be the reason behind her charge of battery on a law enforcement officer.

According to police, she ignored orders to refrain from walking into a restricted area located just outside of the stadium and the situation  escalated to the point at which she was nearly tasered after having head-butted a cop.

Grimes was later treated for injuries to her right arm, forearm and knee.
