Former Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter was arrested Wednesday night after he, according to TMZ, allegedly got into a ‘scuffle’ at a bar.

An eyewitness was cited by TMZ, who originally broke news of Carter’s arrest, indicated that the former Backstreet Boy was taken into custody outside of the Hog’s Breath Saloon, which is located in Key West, Florida.

Hog’s Breath Saloon, located at 400 Front St in Key West, is a restaurant and bar with live music that serves food and drinks in a Western saloon-like atmosphere.

Police documents obtained by People Magazine confirmed that the 35-year-old former boy band star was indeed arrested and booked by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Immortal News was able to independently confirm the former pop star’s recent arrest.

Nickolas Gene Carter, born in January of 1980, was listed as a current inmate by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office as of January 14. His location within the correctional facility was listed as “Key West Unit.”

Whether or not Mr. Carter, who was arrested in California for drunk driving back in 2005, will face any charges remains unclear at this time.

No information regarding his bail conditions or charges have been made available.

E! News reports that Carter and his wife Lauren Kitt announced back in November that they’re expecting to have their first child. At the time, the couple released a statement through E! in which they said that they’re “happy to personally announce” their pregnancy.

My wife and I are happy to personally announce that we are pregnant. It has been our dream to have a family together and we cannot wait to welcome our first child into the world.

Around the same time, the former BSB member opened up about his sister’s death while competing on Dancing with the Stars.
