Jeb Bush Said To Be Eyeing The White House In 2016

The White House

Another Bush is one step closer to throwing his hat into the 2016 presidential race.

Although sources say the son of former president George Bush and brother George W. hasn’t officially decided, Florida’s former Governor is likely to further the family tradition and make a run for the presidency. In fact, in a report by Bloomberg Jeb’s son (George P. Bush) says it’s “more than likely.”

If George W’s younger brother does decide to throw in his bid for the White House, he has the support of the entire Bush family.

I think he’s still assessing it… The family will be behind him 100% if he decides to do it.

Other members of the Bush family have spoken to the press on Jeb’s potential political aspirations. Especially after seeing his father and brother reach the White House. Just a few years ago, running for president wasn’t a priority for the former Florida Governor but  George W. recently said that he thinks his brother now wants to run, and the other Bush brother, Neil, thinks it’s a great idea. Jeb Bush Jr notes that the question of a presidential run is always the “800-pound gorilla in the room” at every family gathering.

The only family member not 100% enthusiastic to have a “Jeb-For-President” sign planted in her front yard is Former-First Lady Barbara Bush, Jeb’s mother.  Not because her son isn’t capable of the job, but she worries, as a mother does, and says “I hope he won’t.” run for president. She mentions in an interview with PBS that their must be other qualified people who are eligible to run.

I think he’ll get all my enemies (and) all his brother’s….And there are other families. I refuse to accept that this great country isn’t raising other wonderful people.

Kristy Campbell, Bush’s spokesperson says that “Governor Bush has not yet made a decision on whether or not he will run in 2016. He will thoughtfully consider it following the mid-term elections, and make a decision late this year or in the early part of next year.”
