Dave Grohl Breaks Leg, Finishes Show Like A Rock Star

Dave Grohl Broken Leg

Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl broke his leg while playing a show in Sweden and in true rock star fashion, finished playing the show with a broken leg.

The broken leg came as a result of an accidental fall, as Grohl slipped off the stage while playing a concert at Nya Ullevi in Gothernburg, Sweden on June 12, 2015.

The accident occurred while Grohl was performing one of the band’s hit songs, “Monkey Wrench” — which was only the second song of the night.

Grohl left immediately following the fall but returned to finish the show from a chair.

According to CNN, Dave shouted at the Friday night show after he’d fallen: “Now look! I think I just broke my leg.”

Now look! I think I just broke my leg. I think I really broke my leg. So, look. You have my promise, right now, that the Foo Fighters — we’re going to come back — and finish this show.

The band confirmed the broken leg via a tweeted picture of an X-ray.

NBC News quoted a concertgoer by the name of Mike Larsson as having said that “Dave tripped tripped and fell from stage during the second song” but the “band kept on player but started to look worried.”

Dave tripped and fell from stage during the second song. The band kept on playing but started to look worried (…) They gave the mic to Dave and he talked a bit to the crowd from the stretcher. The band played some covers and then Dave come back playing sitting down

The BBC reports that the band has cancelled its Pinkpop and Switzerland tour dates and The Guardian reports that the band may cancel their British shows in light of the severity of the injury.

If you weren’t a fan of Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl’s work ethic, are you now?
