Two high school english teachers from Louisiana were arrested for allegedly having threesome with a student and taping the whole act.
Teachers from Destrehan High School, Shelley Dufresne, 34, and Rachel Respess, 24, were arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with a 16-year old boy.
Authorities were notified on Friday after the school officials told the Sheriff’s Office a male student was “bragging to other students that he was having a sexual relationship with teachers,” the Associated Press reported.
The teachers were charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Defresne was released on a $200,000 bail.
“No matter what the sex of the victim is, everyone should be outraged,” Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser said at a press conference Wednesday. “You have an educator whose responsibility is the safety and education of children, and when it goes outside those lines I do believe the community should be outraged.”
In a report by the New York Post, the incident happened at Respess’ home on September 12, after watching a football game.
Investigators confirmed that the three reportedly were together at the house until the “early morning hours.”
The student, who is a junior and now 17, reportedly told investigators the encounter was consensual.
Former students said that the three “had been hot and heavy for some time, meeting for sex multiple times and documenting some of their encounters on video”, WGNO reported.
Defresne is married with three children and has been teaching in the school for 10 years. Respess, on the other hand, is an alumni of the school and has been teaching there for two years.
