‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’s’ Mama June Shannon, Honey Boo Boo’s mother is dating the sex offender who molested a young member of her family. According to a report posted by The New York Daily News, which was posted on Oct. 23, the man, Mark McDanial, who is 53-years-old, got 10-years in prison for the sex crime. However, according to the report, Mama June was romantically involved with him while the sex crime was happening. Although this young member of her family went through this, she still speaks to Mama June.
Mark McDanial was convicted of aggravated child molestation back in 2004 and received a 10-year sentence. According to TMZ, McDaniels was convicted of ‘forcing oral sex on an 8-year-old child.’
Because of this, the show is in jeopardy. As a matter of fact, the network it is aired on spoke out about this to the New York Daily News saying,
TLC is not in production on ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.’ We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series.
Apparently, Mama June even snuck out during the production of the show to be with McDaniel. Also, the couple was reportedly seen together a few weeks ago in a photo standing side-by-side. McDaniel’s is a registered sex offender in Georgia.
Mama June and Honey Boo Boo’s father, Mike Thompson, or better known as, Sugar Bear, broke up last month. Although they weren’t legally married, they did exchange vows in a type of commitment ceremony last May.
