Michele Bachmann Claims Gays Advocate For Child Rape

During an interview on the radio show “Faith & Liberty” former U.S. presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann, a Republican Congresswoman from Minnesota, alleged that LGBT rights advocates were in favor of child rape, The Daily Beast reported.

“They want to abolish age of consent laws, which means children would…we would do away with statutory rape laws so that adults will be able to freely prey on little children sexually,” Bachmann said.

That’s the deviance that we’re seeing embraced in our culture today.

She also assailed the Supreme Court’s 2013 decision striking down a federal law banning same-sex marriages calling it  a “denial of equal protection for all Americans,” The Huffington Post reported.

“This is a revolution that we are encountering now. For all of the thousands of years of recorded human history, about 5,000 years, there is no instance of any culture, nation or tribe ever having as the established standard for marriage anything other than between man and woman,” she argued. “It may have been multiple women and a man, it may have been something like that, but it was always between men and women.”

The “soon-to-be former congresswoman,” as The Daily Beast called her, who is serving out her last term in Congress, is  known for making outrageous and fatuous comments, not only about gays, but also about other American socio-political issues.

However, she may not disappear from the political scene anytime soon because she hinted earlier this week that she is still considering making another run for the presidency in 2016. She slammed the media for not including her in their lists of potential candidates.

“The only thing that the media has speculated on is that it’s going to be various men that are running,” Bachmann told RealClearPolitics in an interview Tuesday. “They haven’t speculated, for instance, that I’m going to run. What if I decide to run? And there’s a chance I could run.”
